New: Dashmint is in the Shopify App Store.

45 seconds. A reason to return.

Dashmint is a 45‑second Shopify discount game: customers play, collect coins and redeem rewards. You choose the discounts and control the budget.

Facts you can check

Shoppers play for coins. You decide what the coins buy.

What does the merchant control?

The rewards, their price in coins and what the discounts may cost in a month. You set the tiers and the budget on the Rewards page, and the game issues no code past the budget.

  • A monthly budget of 0.25 to 3 percent of 30‑day revenue, or 50 rewards on Free
  • Discounts up to 5 percent off on Free, 15 on Season and 20 on Studio
  • 3 coin runs a day per shopper on Free, up to 4 on Season and 5 on Studio

How do players earn coins?

By playing. A 45‑second run pays the coins picked up on the track plus a bonus for its stars; daily quests and a return streak add more, and the server replays each run before its coins count.

  • Up to 250 coins a day from play on Free, 400 on Season and 500 on Studio
  • 100 to 200 coins per paid order on Season, 100 to 400 on Studio
  • Calm mode runs at 0.8 of the speed for the same coins

Where do the discount codes appear?

In three places: in the game, where the shopper sees the code at the finish or in the wallet; in the cart, where Go to cart applies it; and in your Shopify discounts, where every code is titled Dashmint reward.

  • Each code works once, for one customer, for 14 days
  • Undo on the finish screen gives the coins back for 10 minutes
  • Guest codes, when you allow them on Season and Studio, last 48 hours by default

What do the reports show?

Players, runs, coins and rewards over the last 7, 30 or 90 days or a range you pick, each figure against the period before. Season adds the return on discounts, and Studio adds exports of every redemption and coin movement.

  • Presets of 7, 30 and 90 days, each compared with the period before
  • Revenue per 1 of discount and the discount share, from Season
  • 3 CSV exports: players on every plan, redemptions and the coin ledger on Studio

The figures in the picture are sample data, not a store’s results.

Is Dashmint a spin-the-wheel alternative?

Yes, for stores that want repeat visits: coins depend on how well a shopper plays the day’s route, the same route for everyone in the store, and the server replays every run. A wheel popup does one job better: collecting email addresses on a first visit.

Custom: your own game, built by us

Quoted per store

For stores from around 2000 orders a month, or any brand that wants its own game: a mascot from your logo, a map in your store’s colours, an event on your date. Send a brief from the app’s Plan page, we quote it, and Shopify bills it as your own private plan.

Indicatively, the starter pack (mascot, map and setup) costs 1690 to 2390 USD for the first year with Studio included, and a brand skin starts at 990 USD. From the approved charge to launch, 3 to 4 weeks with one round of revisions.

Yearly plans cost ten months. Shopify counts trial days separately for each plan.

A store changes plans in Shopify’s own billing, any time.

The first 20 paying stores keep their price for 24 months. Offer open until 31 January 2027.

Your store in the game

The game builder puts your colours, your store’s name on a sign and your products on a stand into the map, and on Studio the AI writes a whole world from a few sentences, up to 20 times a month.

The default map

Shop Street at the start of a run as it ships: a street with coins on the track

Miauhau after the game builder

The same street in the sample pet store Miauhau: a shop front with the MIAUHAU PETS sign and a paw logo, a treat bone, a tin of cat food, a ball and a toy fish in the windows, pink awnings and window frames, bones on the track instead of coins, the cat in a cap in the brand’s colour
Miauhau is a sample pet store set up in the game builder: name and logo on the shop front, the brand colour on awnings and windows, products in the windows and on the track, the hero’s outfit. Your store goes in the same places.

The game

Seven maps follow the calendar, each with its own hazards and a boss at the end of the route, and Shop Street runs between the seasons.

Ten characters, each with a skill

Questions merchants ask

The game and fairness

Is Dashmint a game of skill?

Yes. Every shopper in your store plays the same route on a given day, and the coins depend on how well the run went, so a shopper who plays better collects more.

Can shoppers cheat to get a bigger discount?

No. The server replays every run from its recorded inputs and ignores the score the browser sends. Runs and coins a day and a week are capped, and a run started over the daily limit counts as practice, without coins.

Which languages does the game speak?

English and Polish, following the shopper’s language; shoppers in other languages get the English game. The admin works in English and Polish too, and this page is available in ten languages.

Do I need to design anything?

No. Switch on the app embed, check the reward tiers and play a test run; the maps, characters and quests are ready. The builder and the AI world are there when you want the game in your colours.

Discounts and the budget

How does Dashmint create discount codes?

When a shopper redeems a tier, Dashmint creates a single-use code for that customer in your store, with the tier’s minimum order and an end date. The code shows in your Shopify discounts as Dashmint reward, and a refund takes back the order’s coins.

How much can the discounts cost me?

No more than your monthly budget: 0.25 to 3 percent of your last 30 days of revenue once those are known, and 50 rewards a month on Free, at 5 percent off. Every tier also has a minimum order and a cap on its amount.

Can guests without an account play?

Yes, anyone can play. A guest’s coins wait in their browser for 30 days and move to their account when they log in; redeeming as a guest stays off until you switch it on, on Season or Studio.

Data and your store

What customer data does Dashmint store?

Only what the game needs: the Shopify customer id, order ids and amounts, run logs and the codes issued. Never names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses, and of the IP address only a salted hash that changes daily. Data stays on Google Cloud in Warsaw.

Will Dashmint slow down my store?

Up front your storefront loads a 2.3 kB script and a 2.2 kB stylesheet. The game (110.4 kB) and the day’s map load only when a shopper opens the game or scrolls to its block. Sizes after gzip, measured on 28 September 2026.

Does Dashmint work with my theme?

Yes, with any Online Store 2.0 theme: one app embed switch in the theme editor, plus an optional game block for a page. Any theme can also link to the play page at /apps/dashmint/play on your domain.

Billing

How do I cancel?

In Shopify’s billing, any time. The paid period runs to its end, then your store moves to Free and keeps its settings, and shoppers keep their coins.

What is the Custom plan?

Your own game, built by us: a mascot from your logo, a map in your colours and an event on your date. It is quoted per store and billed through Shopify as a private plan, with no invoice outside Shopify.
